Marlon Brando, prankster
Can you imagine Don Corleone ripping off his pants and underpants todisplay his barebackside toa a bunch of co-stars and about 500 extras? Hard to believe, but very true!
James Caan, who plays Marlon Brando's onscreen son Santino 'Sonny' Corleone in The Godfather, reveals (in his picture book'The Godfather Family') the on-set pranks Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall played to lighten the mood of the gangster flick. James insists that Marlon was the ultimate joker.
"They were standing at the wedding ceremony when they posed fora picture, and there are 500 extras, old ladies, old men, kids, everybody. Bobby Duvall and Brando had a race to drop their pants. But Bobby's got hitched, so Brando beat him, bent over and spread his cheeks and mooned everybody," he remembers. Adding, "We had this belt made: Moon Champion, hand-tooled leather. Brando got it!"
