Manish Malhotra in Chennai

The most popular designer from Bollywood Manish Malhotra was in Chennai recently to meet the media with regards to the launch of Influence, a first-of-its-kind fine dining restaurant in the city.

The designer is the 'style mind' behind the restaurant. He has worked on theme of�Influence as well as the uniforms of the staff. The prominent colours in the restaurant are gold and beige.�The interiors of the restaurant have been designed by Vikram Padke.

The restaurant is spread across 5000 sq ft with a ceiling height of 18 feet. Around 125 people can enjoy the services of the restaurant at a time. The facility will also have a spa and a fashion store.

The restaurant is expected to be launched around January end next year.

Manish Malhotra is not new to Chennai or Kollywood. He has designed clothes for several South Indian heroines like Sridevi, Vijayashanthi before moving to Bollywood. He became more popular down south when he designed the clothes for Superstar Rajinikanth for the movie Sivaji. He is now working with him in Shankar's Enthiran.
