In shocking news, Malayalam actress Renjusha Menon was found dead in her apartment at Sreekaryam, in Trivandrum on Monday, October 30. She was 35. According to reports, Renjusha, who was living with her husband, Manoj, who is working in the television industry, was found hanging by a saree in her bedroom, with suicide being suspected as the preliminary cause of death. An investigation is currently underway and an autopsy is being conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. Renjusha is survived by her father C G Ravindranath and mother Umadevi.
Local reports state that Renjusha, a native of Kochi, began her career in the entertainment industry by landing roles in TV serials and made her small-screen debut in the Sthree while going on to feature in several other projects. She is also known for her roles in TV shows and films like Athbhutha Dweepu, Bombay March City of God, Marykkundoru, Kunjaadu, Karyasthan, One Way Ticket, to name a notable few. Renjusha, who was also a professional Bharatanatyam dancer, gained popularity among family audiences and became a household name across Kerala while working as a producer in several serials.
The news of Renjusha's death has come as a big shock to the Malayalam television and film fraternity, with many of them and fans paying their tributes on social media. The actress had posted a funny video along with her Anandha Ragam serial co-star Sreedevi Anil on Instagram a few hours before her death. Renjusha's death has come at a time when another Malayalam actress, Aparna Nair, died of suicide, last month, and was found hanging inside her room at her residence, where she was staying with her husband and their children.
