Congratulations are in order for popular Malayalam actress Anjali Nair as she has married assistant director Ajith Raju. The news was announced by Ajith on his Facebook page along with a photo of the newly-married couple. Family, friends, well-wishers, including notable names in the Malayalam film and television industry, have been pouring in their wishes in the comments section. Anjali was earlier married to Aneesh Upasana, but the two later separated. She has a daughter Aavni from her previous marriage and has made an appearance alongside her in the film 5 Sundarikal. Anjali has carved a niche for herself in the Malayalam film industry over the years and has made appearances in films like Puli Murugan, The Merchant of Venice, Kammattipadam, Drishyam 2, Martini, Warning, Like a Pattom, Five Beauties, Anmaria Kalippilan, ABCD, Millie to name a notable few. She also won the prestigious Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actress at the Kerala State Film Awards in 2015 for her performance in the film Ben. Anjali, who has also featured in more than 100 advertisements, is starring alongside Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the mass masala family action entertainer, Aaraattu, which released on Friday, and has her playing the role of a District Collector.
Outside of her films in Malayalam, Anjali Nair has also starred in Nedunalvaadai in Tamil and is set to be seen next in Vikram Prabhu's Taanakkaran and the Jai and Athulya Ravi-starrer Yenni Thuniga. She was also announced last year to be playing the female lead in the upcoming film, Kaalangalil Aval Vasantham, opposite model Kaushik Ram under Raghav Mirdath's direction and will be produced by CV Kumar.
