Ace filmmaker Selvaraghavan’s romantic drama film, 7G Rainbow Colony, released in 2004 went on to become a blockbuster while also going on to achieve cult status since then.
Starring Ravi Krishna and Sonia Agarwal in the lead roles with chartbuster music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film was simultaneously shot in Telugu under the title, 7/G Brundavan Colony and was later remade in Bengali as Prem Amar, as Balunga Toka in Odia and, in Kannada as Gilli with a Hindi remake titled Malaal also ready for release now.
Malaal’s synopsis has been revealed as “the story of Shiva and Astha, two very different people from contrasting backgrounds who experience the innocence of love” with the film announced to hit screens on June 28, 2019.
Starring Meezaan Jaffrey and Sharmin Segal in the lead roles under Mangesh Hadawale’s direction, Malaal has been produced jointly under the Bhansali Productions and T-Series banners and includes music by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with the team now releasing the trailer, which can be viewed below:
