Make up artist Peethambharam is no more
Veteran make up artist turned producer Peethambharam passed away from age related ailments on Monday evening at his residence in Chennai. He was 90 years old. His son P. Vasu is a well known director.
P. Vasu, director of several hits including Chandramukhi, is known in Kannada films for his Aaptha Rakshaka and Aaptha Mithra.
Peethambharam was the personal make up artiste to the legendary NTR and worked with him for almost 41 years. Later he also turned to production and produced blockbusters like Yugandhar (remake of Hindi hit Don) with NTR.
Incidentally, Peethambharam was also a make up man of legendary actors MGR and Sivaji Ganesan. Dr. Rajkumar used to praise Peethambharam for his passion for make up work.
