Mahesh to start shooting from February 18th

Telugu chocolate hero Mahesh Babudidnot have a release in 2008. His fans are getting restless, wondering why there should be such a delay betweenfilmswith Mahesh. He was originally set to team up with Trivikram Srinivas for a romantic entertainer planned for release early this year.

The film, tentatively titled Varudu, will start shooting on February 18th, 2009. The reason for the delay is thatTrivikram Srinivas is a perfectionist who likes to have everything ready (even the shooting locations) beforeshooting begins. The film will begin shooting on February 18th in Rajasthan. It will be extensively shot in Rajasthan and South Africa.

Sunil Patel of Hum Tum and Bachna Ae Haseeno fame willhande the camera; Singanamala Ramesh is producing it under Kanaka Rathna Movies banner. Since the cinematographer was completing a Bollywood project, he could not give his dates before February 18th.

The story too has changed fromromance toaction entertainer, so Mahesh Babu and Trivikram feelthe title Varudu may not be suitable. Mahesh Babu will be essaying the role of a taxi driver. Comedian Sunil and Prakashraj have important roles as well.
