National Award-winning Tamil actor Suriya's Kanguva being directed by blockbuster filmmaker Siva of Viswasam (2019) and Annaatthe (2021) fame will feature dialogues written by Madhan Karky, who took part in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on X on Sunday, August 20. During the live-chat session with fans, the acclaimed lyricist and writer was posed with several queries about his upcoming projects that also included the Suriya-starrer, which is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2024. Among the questions that came Madhan Karky's way about Kanguva was one regarding whether the film is centered on Tamil culture, which he revealed is "fictional" and will be "a universal story" while declaring it to be one of Suriya's best performances in his career.

Speaking further about Kanguva, Madhan Karky went on to reveal that the film was an introduction to a new world while adding that it was a new experience for him to build it along with director Siva.

Upon being asked about whether the upcoming Suriya-starrer will have the same feel as S. S. Rajamouli's epic action Baahubali films, he clarified that it won't be in the same space stating that it will be "totally different".

When pressed for a dialogue from Kanguva, Madhan Karky informed fans that he has signed an agreement with the film's production banner, Studio Green, and is the reason why he is duty-bound to not reveal anything without their consent.

He was also asked about the slang in the Tamil dialogues in the Kanguva glimpse and was queried if that would reflect in the periodic portions, which he revealed would not be in the same intensity since the intention is to make everyone understand the lines while letting know that the teaser was part of a song in the film.

Regarding when Kanguva's first single will be out, Madhan Karky stated that director Siva and Studio Green will take a call on its release date, while also sharing that he has written the lyrics for one song while revealing that a romantic number has been penned by lyricist Viveka.

He also spoke his song in Kanguva sharing that he can't name his favorite line in the song he wrote, but thanked director Siva for the experience, and for trusting and guiding him to create the small world. When queried about whether the film's present-day portions will be overshadowed by the historical portions, Madhan Karky urged fans to explore it when it comes out in cinemas.

Madhan Karky also opened up on how he was approached to be a part of the Suriya-starrer. He revealed, "It happened in Pushpa press meet. Siva sir met me there and asked if we can work together for the next project. A few days later we met. He narrated me the rough outline of Kanguva. Loved it. We started working immediately. (sic)"
