Lokesh Kanagaraj's latest announcement about G Squad has come after the gargantuan box office success of Leo starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the lead role, which has minted over 600 crores in worldwide gross collections. The filmmaker's announcement about his latest venture is out as he is currently busy with the script and pre-production work of the tentatively titled Thalaivar 171 starring 'Superstar' Rajinikanth. Fans have been sending their wishes to Lokesh Kanagaraj for beginning his own venture in such a quick time since his entry into Tamil cinema less than a decade back with Maanagaram (2016) before reaching sky-high heights with back-to-back box office hits starting with Kaithi (2019), Master (2021), Vikram (2022), and the recently-released Leo.
With Lokesh Kanagaraj's G Squad production venture now launched, fans will be keeping a close watch on the developments, including the updates on Thalaivar 171. During the promotions of Leo, the filmmaker had revealed that the Rajinikanth-starrer would not fall under the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) and would rather be a standalone film, while also hinting at big casting news in the days ahead. With Lokesh Kanagaraj hitting the bullseye once again in Leo, he will be looking forward to carrying the same momentum going into Thalaivar 171, which will feature music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander.
