As of now, an official announcement on Lokesh Kanagaraj's next, which is strongly speculated to be Thalapathy 67 with Vijay, is awaited and we can expect it to be out soon. That being said, the hit director will also be reuniting with actor Karthi once again for Kaithi 2, the sequel of their 2019 blockbuster Kaithi, which was referenced to quite a large extent on his Vikram with Kamal Haasan, thus confirming the 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe' (similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe where characters from different Marvel Studios films appear together). It is unknown at this point when Lokesh Kanagaraj will be bringing together characters from Kaithi and Vikram for Kaithi 2 / Vikram 3 and the anticipation will no doubt be sky-high and get bigger with the passage of time.
