Leading Tamil filmmaker Vignesh Shivan's next big film, Love Insurance Corporation (LIC), was announced on Thursday evening, December 14, with photos from a formal pooja ceremony also being released on social media, which revealed the star cast. The upcoming film is touted to be a fun-filled romantic comedy akin to the blockbuster director's previous ventures and will see Comali (2019) and Love Today (2022) star Pradeep Ranganathan and youth sensation Telugu heroine Krithi Shetty of Custody (2023) fame as the lead pair, with SJ Suryah also set to appear in a pivotal role after his power-packed performances in Mark Antony and Jigarthanda DoubleX this year, while 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and the background score.
With production on Love Insurance Corporation set to kick off soon, the team on Saturday, December 16, released a video showing candid moments from the film's pooja ceremony held earlier this week. The video shows Vignesh Shivan, Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah, Anirudh, producers Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy, including Ravi Varman, who will be handling the cinematography in the film, with Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar also gracing the occasion as a special guest. Vignesh Shivan's LIC will also see Yogi Babu playing a pivotal role and fans can expect quite a lot of antics from the comedian-actor alongside the Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, and SJ Suryah trio. With cinematographer Ravi Varman leading the technical team, some other notable names include editor Pradeep E Ragav, who previously impressed everyone with his work in Comali and Love Today, while Praveen Raja is the costume designer and is the talk of the town after his costumes caught the attention of fans in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's recent blockbuster, Leo.
