'Thalapathy' Vijay along with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and several cast and crew members of their film, Leo, are currently shooting in Jammu and Kashmir. On the evening of March 21, an earthquake of 6.6 magnitude, which rocked Afghanistan and Pakistan, also caused strong tremors across several parts of North India, including Kashmir. Soon after the earthquake in Kashmir, Leo's production banner 7 Screen Studio addressed the situation and assured fans that they are all safe by sharing a GIF from the 2005 'Superstar' Rajinikanth-starrer Chandramukhi, which shows 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu getting shocked after an object inside a haunted palace falls down suddenly leaving him flustered. Team Leo's quick response to keep their fans informed their situation has once again been met with an outpouring of love on social media. They tweeted, "We are safe nanba! - Team #LEO (sic)."

Earlier, director Rathna Kumar (Meyaadha Maan, Aadai, and Gulu Gulu), who is writing the dialogues for Leo along with filmmaker Deeraj Vaidy (Jill Jung Juk), tweeted, "BLOOODY #Earthquake", referring to the 'Bloody Sweet' dialogue spoken by Vijay in the film's title announcement teaser, with co-producer Jagadish Palanisamy soon after responding with a GIF of movie maker Nelson Dilipkumar's reaction from the promotions of Doctor. The upcoming film's team has been camped in Kashmir for more than a month now, with 'Thalapathy' Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj filming non-stop. So far, filmmakers Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon have wrapped up their portions, while Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, who is playing the prime antagonist, completed shooting a few key scenes some days back, and is expected to join the team once again in the next schedule being planned in Chennai and other locations. According to latest reports, Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj along with the rest of the team of Leo will be shooting for some more time in Kashmir and are likely to return to Chennai sometime this week.

Leo is set to be launched in cinemas worldwide on October 19 as a grand Ayudha pooja release. There is massive buzz for the film as it sees the big-screen reunion of Vijay and Trisha Krishnan once again after a gap of 14 years, and their pairing is undoubtedly one of the biggest USPs. Furthermore, Leo has a star-studded ensemble cast featuring the likes of 'Action King' Arjun, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, choreographer Sandy master, Malayalam actors Mathew Thomas and Babu Antony, among others, while the film also marks the second time that 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and the background score for a Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj venture after their 2021 box office blockbuster, Master.
