Blockbuster Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj has penned a heartfelt statement addressed to fans, while also extending his gratitude to 'Thalapathy' Vijay and the entire team of their film, Leo, which opens in cinemas tomorrow, October 19. Ahead of the upcoming film's massive release, the hit filmmaker shared a picture from the sets with Vijay and wrote saying, "With just less than a few hours to go for the film's release, this feels very emotional and surreal." Lokesh Kanagaraj then went on to express his gratitude to Leo's lead star Vijay for pushing himself to the fullest extent to bring his vision to life. He said, "I want to thank my dear Thalapathy Vijay na for giving his everything to bring my vision forward. I will always respect you for the immense dedication you've shown us all."
Continuing with his statement, Lokesh Kanagaraj went on to thank the entire cast and crew of Leo for the earnest hard work they put into making the film a reality. He said, "And I would like to thank each and everyone who have put their blood and sweat into this project. It's been more than a year since we started working on leo' and it has been a continuous run working day and night to present the film to you. I'll cherish each and every moment of working on this film, and learnt multiple things from the fantabulous cast and crew." The Master director also went on to respond to the immense outpouring of love and the tremendous support he has received from fans right from the moment Leo went on floors earlier this year. Lokesh Kanagaraj wrote, "And to my lovely audience, thank you for all the love and support you've showered me with. leo' is going to be all yours in a few hours. We hope you have an amazing theatrical experience, and I kindly request you all not to share any spoilers of the film as we all want a delightful experience for every individual. :)"
Lokesh Kanagaraj concluded his statement by speaking about whether 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo will be set in the much talked about Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). He said, "And to answer all your questions if this film comes under 'LCU' or not, you'll find out in a few hours. Loads of love, Lokesh Kanagaraj". The highly-anticipated mass action drama will see the blockbuster Vijay and Trisha pair once again share the big screen after ruling the Tamil cinema screens in the 2000s in films Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008), while the music has been composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander. Apart from Vijay and Trisha as the lead pair, Leo also has an ensemble star cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mysskin, and Sandy master in negative roles, while Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, among others, will be seen making appearances.
