It's official - 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo will open on IMAX screens, the team of the highly-anticipated film announced on Thursday, October 12. The much-awaited announcement of the upcoming film comes a week before its theatrical release and will no doubt be a big reason for fans to celebrate who will be looking to witness the massive action on the biggest screen possible. For a while now, it has been speculated that Leo will be released on IMAX screens and we can expect the demand for the tickets to get bigger going forward after this latest announcement.
Along with the Leo IMAX release announcement, a special poster has also been unveiled showing the back of Vijay, including another moment in the film, where he is seen holding two wooden logs in flames while a handcuff is also noticeable on his left wrist. The sequence is expected to be a highlight as we can also see another person lying on the ground presumably after getting beaten up by Vijay in the film, and all signs point to an out-an-out high-octane action feast in theatres starting October 19. Ticket bookings for Leo have already begun in several parts of the world, including Tamil Nadu, and we can expect the viewing experience on the IMAX screens to be unlike any other.

Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring music composed by Anirudh Ravichander is the second time the duo has collaborated with Vijay after their blockbuster, Master (2021). The film also stars Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, with Sanjay Dutt, 'Action King' Arjun, Mysskin, and Sandy master in negative roles, while Gautham Menon, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, Iyal, among others, will be also be making appearances. Leo is carrying tremendous expectations considering the trailer released a few days back did a fantastic job in piquing the interest of the fans, who are now all charged up to witness Vijay's mass avatar on the big screen.
