We're a week away from the grand release of 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo arriving in cinemas worldwide on October 19. The upcoming mass action drama film directed by blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj features music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, with the third single 'Anbenum' released on Wednesday, Octobober 11, turning out to be a chart-topping hit along the lines of the other two tracks - 'Naa Ready' and 'Badass'. All the three tracks in Leo released so far have been penned by lyricist Vishnu Edavan, who in a special interview with Galatta has now revealed Vijay's reaction after listening to 'Anbenum'.
Speaking about Vijay's reaction after listening to the 'Anbenum' song in Leo, Vishnu Edavan said, "He was initially wondering if there was going to be a melody track in the film since Lokesh Kanagaraj's films do not have such a soft adaptation. But, after listening to the song, he liked it a lot. Before I began writing the song's lyrics, I met him as he was there to see the editing. He shared his wishes before I started writing. Later, after he heard the song, he was happy and hugged me because he liked 'Badass' a lot too. After watching the final output of 'Anbenum' in the visuals, he was extremely happy. So, when he became happy, we all were satisfied."
'Anbenum' is featured on Vijay and Trisha Krishnan, and their big-screen reunion in the song after 15 years is one among the several big highlights in Leo. Fans have been ecstatic witnessing the two leading Tamil cinema stars once again in the song together after they ruled the 2000s starring in films Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008). Anirudh and Vishnu Edavan too have been showered with praises for their latest melody in Leo after the foot-tapping and electrifying hits 'Naa Ready' and 'Badass', which are still reigning at the top of the charts.
