Popular Hindi television actress Pooja Banerjee and her husband Sandeep Sejwal have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Saturday. The news has been confirmed by the TV star's brother Neil Banerjee, who revealed the joyous news to Times of India, while also informing that the couple are at present in Nagpur. Neil stated, "We are extremely thrilled with this new addition to our family. Everyone in our family is in celebratory mode. Baby’s father and daadi (grandmother) are by Pooja’s side in the hospital." The news of Pooja being blessed with a baby girl has come a day after she posted a photo on Instagram in which she is seen showing her baby bump with the caption: "A mother is always the beginning. She is how things begin."
Known best for her work in the hit Hindi serial Kumkum Bhagya, Pooja bid farewell to her role on the smash-hit Hindi television serial and extended her gratitude to the show's team in a special video. Thanking producer Ekta Kapoor and the entire team, the actress wrote in her note, "I will be forever grateful to the entire team for making me feel so special and loved during my entire pregnancy on set. Thank you all the lovely fellow actors, you all have been so supportive and caring, I love you all…. Last but not the least a @balajitelefilmslimited , an institution where I feel women are truly empowered and all the lost faiths are truly instilled that there is nothing that a woman can’t do and you’ve made sure that even during my pregnancy I get the comfort, care and love from the team."
