Korean film festival begins
Lauding the similarities between Indian and Korean cultures, Chang Byung-Suk, Trade Commissioner and Managing Director, Korean Business Centre, said film festivals would provide a platform for better understanding between the people of the respective countries.
Inaugurating the Korean film festival at the Film Chamber in Chennai on Monday, Chang felt that Chennai could do a lot to cater to the section of Koreans who love theatre.
Prominent playback and carnatic singer Charulatha Mani lit the traditional lamp. She saw the positive of such forums giving viewers the exposure to international cinema.
