Director Shankar Pazhanisamy's upcoming movie Kopperundevi, is said to be having various elements like comedy, thrill, historical value and romance. The director has brought together the cast members of the successful movies like Kanchana 1, Kanchana 2 and Aranmanai for this project. Stars like Kovai Sarala, Urvashi, Manobala, VTV Ganesh, Singampuli, Sriman, Devadarshini, Ilavarasu, Lollu Sabha Swaminathan and Manohar, Pandu, Venniradai Murthy, Vadivukkarasi have all been signed up for the project. It is said that the director has created a first for Tamil Cinema by shooting in a set erected in the snowy heights of Ladakh.
Following the success of movies from the horror-comedy genre, it is said that distributors are showing a lot of interest in acquiring the rights for Kopperundevi. A new face from Kerala named Aradhya, is being introduced to Kollywood as the ghost, in this horror movie.
