The team of the upcoming film on Monday, November 6, dropped a surprise update informing fans that leading Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan will be a part of the ambitious venture, which will have its title revealed later today evening in a special teaser. Expressing his excitement for his next big Tamil film role, Dulquer posted a picture of his casting announcement on X and wrote, "A legendary reunion of the masters Mani Sir and Kamal Sir ! KH 234 is Dulquer's next big outing in Tamil cinema after he was recently announced to be playing a key role in National Award-winning actor Suriya's new film, the tentatively titled Suriya 43, under Sudha Kongara's direction. It is to be noted that the King of Kotha star is collaborating with Mani Ratnam after his father Mammootty previously played a pivotal role alongside 'Superstar' Rajinikanth in the six-time National Award-winning director's Thalapathi (1991). Dulquer's casting announcement in the Kamal Haasan film comes at a time when the KH 234 title teaser announcement will be out later today evening, with expectations high for the visuals to be a high-octane action-packed treat.
Dulquer will be looking to come out firing on all cylinders in KH 234 as he has already garnered quite a good fan following in Tamil after his performances notably in O Kadhal Kanmani (2015) and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal (2020). The buzz for KH 234 has been phenomenal ever since it was revealed that Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are teaming up once again after their Nayakan (1987), which continues to be celebrated as one of the best films in Indian cinema history. KH 234 already has a stellar technical crew featuring the likes of cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, editor A.
