Blockbuster Kannada film producer Vijay Kirgandur on Wednesday announced that his Hombale Films banner is building avatars for the Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 in the Metaverse known as KGFVerse. Inviting fans to be a part of the KGF universe in the digital space, the production banner informed fans that the sale of the digital assets will go live on April 7. In the KGFverse, which is a digital avatar-based environment set in the world of KGF, fans will get an opportunity to explore the universe of KGF. For those unversed about the Metaverse, the makers said, "Metaverse is a digital avatar-based universe. It is a virtual reality world where users can interact, play games and experience things or activities as they would in the real world. Metaverse is the new frontier of the Internet and an innovative way to engage with audiences and movie fans. It is the future of virtual hangouts and a new way of consuming content, and therefore, KGF is exploring this space to enable their fans to interact with the elements of both the chapters of KGF in the metaverse." 

Hombale Films also gave an explanation about the KGFverse and said, "Over the next few days the KGFverse will unveil itself in parts. KGFverse is a digital avatar-based universe dedicated to the movie for fans of the KGF movie Franchise. The objective is to enable the community to build a series of games and virtual environments to enable extension of KGF into the metaverse. As a first step, fans gain access to the KGFverse chapter by owning the token of the El-dorado book on which KGF is based. It enables the owners to become part of the membership club which gives them access to avatars, props, and parcels of the movie in the form of NFTs." They added, "It is Rocky Dal's way of giving back to the community. Over a period of time, developers will be able to build games using the NFTs to create and enhance the KGFVerse. Members of KGFverse will have exclusive access to NFTs, surprise airdrops and also ability to attend physical events related to the movie." 

As for KGF: Chapter 2, the film directed by Prashanth Neel is set to open in theatres worldwide on a grand scale on April 14 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam apart from Kannada. The film will see Yash reprising his role as Raja Krishnappa Bhairya aka. Rocky Bhai, with actress Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead, while Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt is playing the antagonist Adheera.
