This has led a lot of fans to believe that the film's release is getting pushed further back once again.

The release of the movie's prequel garnered a wide range of unexpected responses due to which the upcoming sequel has been highly anticipated by the public. With no major updates from the makers, the fans were doubtful if the film would release on time. This has resulted in various unwarranted announcements regarding the film from many different handles. For instance, over the past few weeks, a lot was speculated on KGF: Chapter 2's first single. Later, some accounts announced the expected release date of the KGF 2 trailer. With such things happening repeatedly, the makers are now regretting their lack of action regarding this.

Karthik Gowda, executive producer of Hombale Films, in a recent tweet, came forward and urged fans to be aware of the fake news and announcements going around regarding KGF: Chapter 2. He took to Twitter and tweeted a message from his personal account saying, "Pls dont believe announcements from fake handles. The period action film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel, produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films. The second installment of the two-part series, is a sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj. The story picks up where the first part left off, following Rocky who now becomes the uplifter of people struggling at the KGF by helping and fighting for them who understands the changing dynamics between the politicians and gangsters in the gold business and have to face his biggest foe Adheera.
