Popular Malayalam actor Dileep is a key accused in the infamous abduction and molestation case involving a leading Malayalam actress. The actor has been named as the eighth accused in the controversial case, which has shocked the Mollywood film fraternity.
As per latest updates, the Supreme Court will consider Dileep's plea on April 3. The SC bench headed by Justice MM Khanwilkar will consider the actor's plea, added reports. In his plea, Dileep has requested a copy of the memory card containing visuals of the attack on the actress.
Dileep had claimed that the memory card is a strong evidence in the case and he has the right to see it. He also challenged its genuinety by claiming that was edited. But the Kerala government has denied both claims and strongly objected to handing over the same to the accused. Dileep approached the SC after the High Court and Angamaly Court rejected his plea. Dileep is currently busy with his next titled Shubharathri. The new project starring Anu Sithra and Siddique was launched recently.
