Leading South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh's next big film has been announced as a grand Pongal treat and is titled Revolver Rita. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has done the honors, while also unveiling a glimpse of the upcoming film, which shows a creative artwork of Keerthy Suresh firing two revolver guns. K. Chandru of Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham fame, the 2013 fantasy comedy Jai and Nivetha Thomas-starrer, is directing Revolver Rita, which is jointly being produced by Sudhan Sundaram's Passion Studios and 'Thalapathy' Vijay's manager Jagadish's The Route.
The action-packed title along with the stunning creative artwork of Revolver Rita instantly raises curiosity among fans and it will be interesting to witness Keerthy Suresh in yet another offbeat role. It is to be noted that the National Award-winning actress had sometime back announced a film titled Raghu Thatha under KGF and Kantara producer Vijay Kiragandur's Hombale Films banner, which is being directed by newcomer Suman Kumar. The Revolver Rita announcement poster doesn't reveal much other than giving a glimpse into Keerthy Suresh's fiery character in the film, which will be released post its theatrical release on Netflix. Revolver Rita is incidentally The Route's second big production venture after the upcoming Malayalam film, Sesham Mike-il Fathima, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, and there will be quite a lot of expectations for the Keerthy Suresh-starrer, which looks to be a black comedy based on the title announcement poster that has been released. The film features a talented technical team among whom are Dinesh Krishnan. B and Praveen K. L. handling the cinematography and editing, respectively, while the art direction is being done by Vinoth Rajkumar. Considering Revolver Rita, as the title suggests, will include plenty of action, and the stunts are being overseen by Dhilip Subbarayan, while Gopi Prasannaa is the publicity designer and Aishwarya Suresh is serving as the creative producer.
