Recently, reports of Kaththi's producers being in close association with the Srilankan president Rajapakse were doing the rounds. There were also some protests against them by a few groups following these rumours. However, the producers have cleared the air, stating that they had only gone on a friendly visit to their hometown sometime back, and also that they have nothing to do with Rajapakse. The producers further added, that they have taken strict action against some channels, who misguided everyone.
