Karthiga betrothed
Karthiga, the girl-next-door heroine, will be getting married to an NRI groom. She follows Gopika (who married a NRI doctor named Ajilesh. Karthiga, who acted in more than 15 Malayalam films, is also acting in a few Tamil films, namely, Dindigul Sarathy (Karunas maiden venture as hero), Pulan Visaranai (new), Naalai Namadhu and Aarumanamey.
Insiders say that Karthiga will not panic her producers by jumping into matrimony until she completes all her assigments. She definitely is a very mature and professional lady! Known as the half-sari girl, as all her characters right from her debut, Thoothikudi, upto the present, are dressed up in traditional half-saris or ‘pavadai chattai’ favoured by teenage girls in rural Tamil Nadu.
Raman Thediya Seethai was one of her latest projects, where Karthiga shared screen space with five heroines opposite Cheran. Dindigul Sarathy is a remake of the Malayalam film Vadaku Nokki Endhiram.
