Karan Johar vs. Tanuja
Bollywood mothers (especially mothers of heroines) are notorious for pampering their daughters at film sets and complaining about the tediousness involved in film shooting. All those hilarious episodes seem to have come true in Kajol's case. Kajol's mother (famous actress Tanuja) is reported to be causing unending trouble for Karan Johar in the sets of My Name Is Khan.
Karan Johar is said to have a tough time shooting My Name is Khan in Los Angeles. It is reported that on her mother's insistence, Kajol is demanding a more prominent role. The movie, scheduled for release this year, has Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles.
Tanuja, who accompanies Kajol to the shoot, seems to have persuaded her daughter to ask Karan for a more prominent role with punch dialogues. Sources close to the crew say that Kajolmade this demand after sensing that the film revolves completely around Shahrukh and that she essays only a role of lesser importance.
This news comes as a surprise to every one as the close friendshipbetween Kajol and Karan is known all over B-town. Maybe it is the mother-sentiment causing the disruption this time.
And how did Karan tackle all this? He acted just like the typical director depicted in movies – he gave in to the heroine's mother's will. He had no other choice, of course.
