The star, who is best known for playing the character Raaga on the popular Kannada TV show Manasella Neene, shared the news of her big day on Instagram. During a question and answer chat session with fans and her social media followers, Rashmi was queried about her wedding, with the actress responding by revealing the wedding date. She said, "25.04.2022", with wishes pouring in from fans for the next big phase of her life with her beau Nikhil. 

Rashmi Prabhakar, who is a popular name among the young and the elderly alike, has been mighty excited about her wedding in the months ahead and had recently been shopping with her family members for the big day. According to reports, preparations for the wedding are said to be in full swing. The actress has been on a shopping spree of late and has been sharing updates on her Instagram Stories. Having appeared in an important role in the Kannada serial Lakshmi Baramma, Rashmi exchanged rings with Nikhil sometime back in an intimate ceremony, which was attended by family members and close friends who blessed the happy couple. The engagement was held in a five-star hotel in Bengaluru city. On the work front, Rashmi, who was last seen on the TV serial Manasella Neene, surprised many by announcing that she was quitting the show.
