Kannada actor Avinash's Malayalam debut
Much sought-after Kannada actor Avinash, who has appeared in a couple of Tamil and Telugu films, is debuting in Malayalam. He is planning a meaty role in megastar Mammootty starrer Doubles, being directed by debutant Sohan Seenulal and written by Sachi-Sethu. Doubles is expected to hit screens in April.
Talking about the film, this multiple award winner said that Doubles is a family drama which deals with relationships. "Malayalam film industry works at a different level. It has a good team of actors, directors and technicians,” he said. About the language, the actor said: “Malayalam is tough. But give me some time. I will learn the language.” A native of Mysore, Avinash has acted in more than 200 movies and has won the Best Supporting Artiste State Award a couple of times.
