It has been officially announced that Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film, Tejas will go on floors this December. The makers made the announcement this morning (August 28) along with a new picture from the film. In the newly released picture, we see Kangana Ranaut sporting the uniform of an Air Force Pilot and it seems like an interesting project is in the cards. With a strong performer like Kangana Ranaut in the front, one can hope the film will leave an impact among the audience. Tejas will be an ode to the air force pilots in India and it is planned to be shot on a grand scale with high production value.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP Movies, Tejas is directed by Sarvesh Mewara. Talking in an official statement, Kangana Ranaut said, "Tejas is an exhilarating story where I have the privilege of playing an air force pilot. I am honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday. Our film celebrates the armed forces and its heroes. Excited to take this journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie,”. Details regarding the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be revealed and we can expect the names to be known close to the commencement of the shoot.

Kangana Ranaut’s next release would be Thalaivi which is the biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J Jayalalitha. Thalaivi is directed by Vijay of Madarasapattinam and Deiva Thirumagal fame and has music scored by G.V.Prakash Kumar who is in great form as a composer. Arvind Swami plays M.G.R’s character in this film that also has Madhoo, Poorna, Jisshu Sengupta, Samuthirakani, and Bhagyashree in supporting roles. Produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh Singh, Thalaivi has cinematography by Vishal Vittal. Veteran writer K.V.Vijayendra Prasad has penned the screenplay of this film which is being made as a pan Indian film in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.

The makers are yet to completely wrap up the film and a few more portions are left to be shot which will be done after the pandemic. The film’s release date is also yet to be locked. The fans are quite eager to see how Kangana Ranaut has essayed the role of the iconic leader and let us hope that we get to see the film as soon as possible.
