Chidambaram, the owner of Kamala Theatre in Vadapalani, passed away this morning at Madurai. His family have taken his body to their native village, for cremation. A native of Rangiyam, near Pudukottai, 76-year-old Chidambaram is well known for his philanthropic gestures, and his recent appearance as the antagonist in the movie, Thoonganagaram. He is survived by 3 sons.
