'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's Vikram completed 100 days in its theatrical run on Friday, September 9, and the iconic actor along with his team have been celebrating the glorious occasion by taking to social media and extending their heartfelt gratitude to fans for their love and support for the film. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, the action thriller also starred 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist, followed by Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya making an electrifying cameo as Rolex, while 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander churned out chart-buster songs and a thunderous background score.
With Vikram completing 100 days in its theatrical run, which is an extremely rare occurrence these days, especially post the emergence of OTT streaming platforms, actress Gayathrie Shankar, who appeared as Fahadh Faasil's wife in the film, too joined in on the success celebrations and posted new and unseen photos of her iconic death scene on social media, while explaining the story behind how it was shot. Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Gayathrie wrote in her caption: "When an actor performs a dying scene in a movie, it is customary to take a shot of them waking up and smiling at the camera. Somewhat like telling the universe that the scene was just acting and that the actor is alive and well. While shooting for my scene in #vikram we forgot to take that shot. Pressed for time, we couldn't move the lighting set up either. Soooo we got innovative and took these.. 😛 To everybody asking, unga thala enga, Inga paarunga da! 😄 . . #100daysofvikram #vikrammovie #lokeshkanagaraj #lokimultiverse #Sandhanam #gayathri #amar #girishgangadharan #locationdiaries #behindthescenes".
