'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan celebrated his 69th birthday on Tuesday, November 7, with the iconic actor hosting a special celebration event for members of his Makkal Needhi Maiam political party and fans in the evening. The birthday celebrations, which witnessed a huge turnout, also saw the Tamil superstar talk about his upcoming film, Indian 2, while also giving his first confirmation about Indian 3. Addressing the people assembled at the grand event, Kamal Haasan opened up saying Indian 2 and Indian 3 will set up a political stage. He further stated that Indian 2 and Indian 3 will include the topics that he and his party members frequently discuss.
This is the first time a statement about Indian 3 has been made on a public platform and Kamal Haasan's confirmation has come a big joyous news for Tamil cinema fans, who are now looking forward to witnessing the actor in Indian 2, which will open in cinemas in a grand manner in 2024. The films will be picking up from the events in the blockbuster Indian (1996), which has since gone on to earn a cult classic status, with all sights set on how Kamal Haasan and director Shankar will continue the story.
No release date has yet been announced for Indian 2, which had a special glimpse released last week, giving audiences a sneak peek into the action that will unfold on the big screens next year. The intro video also revealed Kamal Haasan's portrayal of Senapathy for the first time since the release of the promotional posters, with Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, S J Suryah, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Delhi Ganesh, Brahmanandam, Gulshan Grover making appearances, and late actors Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Manobala, and G. Marimuthu also being featured in the ensemble cast. Although the pan-Indian film's intro didn't reveal Kajal Aggarwal, the actress will be seen in a major role, and there will be quite a lot of excitement when her role is finally revealed. 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander is the composer of Indian 2 and there are massive expectations for the hit music director to deliver yet another sensational album and a power-packed background score.
