Few days back, Kamal Haasan was in talks with the DTH netwoks for simultaneously releasing Vishwaroopam directly on television on Jan 11, 2012. But due to protest from theatre owners, who threatened to boycott the film, Kamal has now dropped the idea. The theatre owners felt that if this new format becomes success, many films would adapt it and that will affect their collections.
Vishwaroopam, written and directed by Kamal Haasan, also stars Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah. Meanwhile the audio launch of Vishwaroopam is all set to have happen across three cities of Tamilnadu on 7th December.
