Pictures: Kamal Haasan, Anirudh, and others pay homage to Y Gee Mahendran's mother

Veteran actor and playwright Y Gee Mahendran's mother, Rajalakshmi Parthasarathy passed away earlier today (August 6) in Chennai. The cause of death is said to be a cardiac arrest. Rajalakshmi was 93 years old when she breathed her last. Her mortal remains was placed at PSBB School, Bharat Kalachar in T Nagar, this evening for the public to pay their final respects. On that note, Makkal Needhi Maiam Chief and actor Kamal Haasan was seen paying homage to the Padma Shri recipient. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Dhanush's wife, Aishwarya Dhanush were also seen in the premises.

Anirudh did his schooling in Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan (PSBB), and Rajalakshmi happens to be the founder of the school. Pictures from the event have been doing the rounds on social media. The cremation will happen tomorrow (August 7) evening around 4 PM at Besant Nagar. You can look through the images below:
