Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a 2017 Hindi comedy drama film, which is a official remake of Kalyana Samayal Saadham. This movie gets a sequel but this time its Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The teaser just dropped in today and will be released on Valentine's Day, 2020.
Earlier, R.S Prasanna was the director of the first SMS movie. But now, its screenplay writer Hitesh Kewalya will write and direct Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The movie features Ayushmann Khurrana, produced by Aanand L Rai. The music & lyrics are done by Tanishk-Vayu.
As interesting as it sounds, the movie will have its main theme about homosexuality. "The Shubh Mangal Saavdhan franchise is our tribute to the churning that keeps our society alive. Every installment will deal with a topic that touches every person but no one wants to speak about it publicly. Like the first film, this one too will broach a taboo subject with great sensitivity and light humour. I anticipate a lot of conversations and cheer around the second film too", said Aanand L. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga played the pioneer to make films about homosexuality. Ayushmann Khurrana delivered two back-to-back hits last year, with Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho. Post SMS, it is speculated that R.S Prasanna will be making a movie with Siddharth Roy Kapur.
