Kajal Aggarwal who was recently seen in the Tamil web series Live Telecast, directed by Venkat Prabhu, has teamed up with director Kalyaan for a new film. This film has been titled Ghosty and the first look poster was unveiled yesterday (April 14) marking the occasion of Tamil New Year. In the poster, we see Kajal Aggarwal sitting along with a group of people against the backdrop of a parliament. All other male supporting artists are dressed in white shirt and dhoti and it looks like all of them play politicians. Though this first look poster has elements of a political film, the makers have announced that Ghosty will be a horror comedy film.

Director Kalyaan is known for making movies like Gulaebaghavali (Prabhu Deva) and Jackpot (Jyotika) and he is now ready with Ghosty with Kajal Aggarwal. It is said that this film will showcase Kajal Aggarwal in a different dimension. The film, which has been shot in Chennai and Pondicherry, is currently in the post production stages. The trailer and songs are expected to release very soon. While Kajal Aggarwal plays the lead character, the others in the star cast include KS Ravikumar, Subbu Panchu Arunachalam, Toni, Yogi Babu, Motta Rajendran, Sathyan, Oorvasi, Devadarshini, Suresh Menon, Sriman, Manobala, Mayilsamy, Saaminaadhan, Livingston, Madhan Bob, Santhana Bharathi, Aadukalam Naren, 'Pazhaya Joke' Thanga Durai, and others.

The film will have music composed by Sam CS, while the cinematography and editing has been taken care of by Jacob Rathinaraj and Vijay Velukutty respectively. Talking about the film, director Kalyaan says, “Working with Kajal Aggarwal madam was an amazing experience. The intriguing part is her high-level energy that remained the same from Day 1 till the wrap-up moment. Well, it isn’t just about her distinct trait of being a one-take artiste, but the way she prepared for the role was phenomenal. I thank my producers Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram for their wonderful support. The film has a plot-driven by many characters, where every single role will have huge prominence. Just remove or delete any one of them and the entire play will stop proceeding further. KS Ravikumar sir, Subbu Panchu Arunachalam, Yogi Babu, Motta Rajendran, and everyone in the film will have 100% presence.”
