Popular singer Bhuban Badyakar, who became a huge sensation on social media with his song 'Kacha Badam', was rushed to the Suri Super Speciality Hospital in Birbhum District, West Bengal after he met with a car accident. According to reports, the viral music artiste was learning to drive his new vehicle eventually hurting his chest, and is at present on the road to recovery. It is being stated that Badyakar had recently bought a second-hand car and was learning how to drive when the incident had taken place. 

Prior to garnering fame with his 'Kacha Badam' song, Bhuban Badyakar was a peanut seller in West Bengal. He garnered fame by singing the song while selling peanuts and was when one of his customers posted a video of him singing on social media, which now has approximately 21 million views. Before he became a household name in Bengal, reports say Badyakar used to earn Rs. 250 a day and his family includes his wife, two sons, and a daughter. The beloved singer was also awarded sometime back Rs. 3 lakh by Godhulibela Music, the audio label that first remixed his 'Kacha Badam' song, while also being felicitated by the West Bengal police department. He reportedly also performed his viral song at a luxury pub in Kolkata last week. 

In an earlier interview with ETimes, Bhuban spoke about his journey as a performer and said, "Many people in my area had insulted and mocked me when I first came up with this song. And now, when the song has gone viral, they want to meet me, visit me at my home. Some have even urged me to take a selfie with them. This is the irony. Time and luck change for everyone."
