Kannai Nambathey is an upcoming film that is set to be released in theatres on March 17. The film has Udhayanidhi Stalin and Aathmika in lead roles and is directed by Mu Muran. It is the second film from the director who made his debut with the film Iravukku Aayram Kangal. The movie has a star cast of Prasanna, Sathish, Bhumika Chawla Vasundhara Kashyap, Marimuthu, Subiksha Krishnan, Srikanth, Pazha. Karuppaiah, Sendrayan and Ku Ganasambandam in supporting roles. The film has created anticipation among fans and movie buffs as the debut film of the director Iravukku Aayiram Kangal was an interesting thriller. It will be the second to the last film of Udhayanidhi Stalin as an actor as he took oath as the Tamil Nadu Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister in December.

The first single from the film was released a few days ago and was titled Kuru Kuru, with music composed by Siddhu Kumar. The second single from Kannai Nambathey has dropped today. The song titled Kaathiru is a melody that shows the love between the leading pair of the film Udhayanithi Stalin and Meesaya Murkku fame Aathmika. The song is penned by Kugai Ma Pugazhenthi and is sung by Lakshmikanth M. The breezy melody surely shows the love story between the leading pair and will be hit number.
Kannai Nambathey produced by LIPI Cine Crafts is set to be released in theatres this weekend after a long wait. The trailer shows it will be a racy thriller that mainly happens in one night. It has cinematography by Jalandhar Vasan and editing by San Lokesh. The lead actor Udhayanidhi Stalin is also distributing the film under his banner Red Giant Movies.
