Earlier, the first and second look posters of Kaathal – The Core created a lot of excitement among fans after it showcased Mammootty and Jyotika as a couple, with the film set to be high on emotions. There has been quite a lot of buzz surrounding the romantic drama among Tamil cinema fans considering Mammootty enjoys a massive fan following, with Jyotika also going to be a major highlight. Mammootty, who is fresh from the massive success of his recent film, Kannur Squad, which grossed 100 crores in box office collections, will be looking to carry forward the momentum, with Kaathal – The Core also set to be Jyotika's big comeback in Malayalam cinema after 14 years when she starred in Seetha Kalyanam (2009).
Kaathal – The Core is also director Jeo Baby's next after his Sreedhanya Catering Service (2022) and the revered filmmaker will be looking to hit the bullseye and strike big this time with Mammootty and Jyotika headlining the cast. The film will also be a special one for Jyotika's fans in Tamil, who will be witnessing her on the big screen once again after five years since she appeared as Karthi's sister in Thambi (2019). It is to be noted that Jyotika's last two Tamil films Ponmagal Vandhal (2020) and Udanpirappe (2021) released directly on streaming on Amazon Prime Video and fans will no doubt be hoping to witness yet another powerful performance from her alongside Mammootty in Kaathal – The Core.
