Karuthukalai Pathivu Sei is an upcoming Tamil movie, which is based on social injustices, especially against women. This movie, which stars all newcomers in the lead, is said to raise awareness on social issues. The audio launch of this movie was held recently and there were many guests of honour at this event, including K Bhagyaraj, S Ve Sekar, Bigg Boss fame Meera Mitun and producer K Raja. All the celebrities spoke at the event and director-turned-actor K Bhagyaraj took to the dais shared his views. In his speech, he mentioned that it is not only men who should be blamed for sexual abuse cases.

Bhagyaraj cited the proverb of "the thread cannot enter if the needle doesn't give space" and mentioned that it is women who have to be careful and not blame men for all issues against them. He added that if women did not give men the space, there would be no sexual harrassment cases at all. Bhagyaraj also mentioned that if men do something wrong, it is something it would just be something on the go but that is not the case with women. He mentioned that he was telling it with difficulty but still had to bring out the issue.

Talking about the notorious Pollachi sexual harassment cases, which hit the headlines recently, Bhagyaraj mentioned that only the men could not be entirely blamed for it all. He stated that the men identified the women's weaknesses and utilised that to the maximum. Bhagyaraj also mentioned that if what the men did was wrong, then the women who gave them the opportunity to do so, were equally at fault. Bhagyaraj also added that mobile phones are to be used for safety and not for wrongdoing. This has stirred up quite a controversy and people are expressing their views against Bhagyaraj's statements!
