Tamil cinema's favorite couple Suriya and Jyotika have been giving fans major relationship goals for many years after featuring in several hit films. The star duo were last seen together in Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006) and fans have since been waiting for them to reunite once again for a new film. With Jyotika recently making her big Bollywood comeback after 25 years in Shaitaan alongside Ajay Devgn and Madhavan, the actress who continues to enjoy a massive fan following in Tamil Nadu has now opened up in an exclusive interview with Galatta India about doing a film again with Suriya.
Speaking about the possibilities of a reunion with her husband Suriya in a new film, Jyotika said, "We're looking out. No one has a story for us. I've always said this. No one has a story. No one's even come to narrate and we've said, 'No, we don't like this' or people haven't actually written. I think they like us off-screen more than they would like to see us on-screen. But, we're happy. Probably at home also, both of us. Shoot also, both of us. We might be quite overdone with each other (laughs)." She added, "We're waiting for the right thing to come. We don't want to do the regular cliche stuff. We're just waiting for something exciting."
Tamil cinema fans will be keeping their fingers crossed to witness Suriya and Jyotika take over the big screen once again after they appeared in seven films together. The fan favorite couple have so far featured in films Poovellam Kettuppar (1999), Uyirile Kalanthathu (2000), Kaakha Kaakha (2003), Perazhagan (2004), Maayavi (2005), and Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, while Suriya made a guest appearance in Jyotika's June R (2006).
