After the massive success of Ponniyin Selvan 2, the actor Jayam Ravi is set to star in the film titled Iraivan which is helmed by director I Ahmed. The film will mark the second collaboration the director-actor combo after Jana Gana Mana was put on hold. The director has shared an exciting musical update about the film on his Twitter handle. He has shared a silhouette photo of a person standing watching a great city video from a large window and has said "Composing for Iraivan with my friend, little maestro U1." This confirms that the composing for the anticipated film that is set to release in August has begun. The photo also shows a small studio set-up in what-looks-like a foreign country.

The director I Ahmed, who is known for his diverse filmography with films like Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Manithan and Jiiva’s Endrendrum Punnagai, etc, is back with a massive project after over 6 years it has created a huge excitement. He had earlier shared a picture of Iraivan stating it's in the post-production stage. The film also has 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara playing the female lead. The recent photo shared shows the music composer has begun composing for the film and shows more updates from the film can be looked forward to sooner than expected.
Jayam Ravi's Iraivan by filmmakers I. Ahmed is bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram under the banner of Passion Studios. The film is set to release in four south Indian languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The OTT streaming rights for the film being bagged by Netflix, with the composing already began the first single from the film is expected to be dropped soon as the film is set to release in theatres on August 25. It will make the third release for Jayam Ravi for the year after Agilan and Ponniyin Selvan II. His next film the actor is titled Siren.
