Jayam Ravi is one of the most bankable actors in Kollywood and has established himself as a successful hero in his career. His recently released 24th film Comali, directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, has turned out to become a resounding hit and has been raking in the numbers at the Box Office. Produced by Ishari K Ganesh for Vels Film International, Comali released on August 15th, India's Independence Day. Kajal Aggarwal and Samyuktha Hegde played the two female leads in this movie, which had Jayam Ravi in nine different get-ups! Now, the makers have released a deleted scene video from this movie!
This deleted scene video shows a group of schoolboys stopping a schoolgirl in the middle of the road and teasing her. Jayam Ravi, also shown as a schoolboy, steps up to these other boys and slaps one of them. That is when they call upon Ramar, of Vijay TV fame, who arrives in the get-up of a local rowdy. However, when Jayam Ravi begins displaying the weapons he has in hand - a divider, a steel scale and a blade in his mouth, Ramar backs away and escapes from there. Comali had a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 22 minutes and it looks like the team decided to leave out this scene to keep the movie trim and taut.

Hiphop Tamizha scored the music for Comali, while Richard M Nathan has handled the camera and Pradeep E Ragav, the editing. The cast of this light-hearted movie also includes KS Ravikumar, Yogi Babu, Sha Ra, Aadukalam Naren, Vinodhini Vaidhyanathan, Ponnambalam and a host of others, including Bigg Boss fame Snehan in a cameo appearance. The concept of a man waking up from a coma after 16 years to find the entire world around him being changed, resonated well with the audiences.
