Earlier this week, we had informed our readers that actor Vijay Sethupathi who plays the villain role in an upcoming Telugu film Uppena has apparently acquired the Tamil remake rights of the film. It was speculated yesterday that this Tamil remake will star Thalapathy Vijay’s son Sanjay in the lead role and Vijay Sethupathi himself would reprise the villain role yet again. When we just with our sources close to Vijay’s camp, they denied this news. Apparently, Jason Sanjay has no plans to enter the film industry any time soon. It looks like Vijay has a pucca sketch to launch his son. Let’s wait and see. 
 
Uppena is directed by Bucchi Babu and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing the lead heroine’s father in the film. Two young lads Panjaa Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty will be seen playing the lead roles. Produced by Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers, this film is being directed by Sukumar's assistant Bucchi Babu Sana and music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad while Shamdat takes care of the cinematography and Navin Nooli handles the cuts. This film which was supposed to release on April 2nd has now been postponed due to the Corona pandemic. Stay tuned for more updates!
