The entire world is abuzz with the news of SpaceX CEO Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter, with netizens on social networking forums contemplating the changes that could be implemented on the micro-blogging platform in the days ahead. Following the accession of Twitter, English actress Jameela Jamil, known best for starring in the fantasy comedy series The Good Place, announced on Monday that she is quitting the social platform. Set to be making her Marvel debut with the upcoming She-Hulk series, Jamil posted two tweets declaring that they are her last statements on Twitter.
Jamil, who has been an active Twitter user, previously voiced her opinions on several occasions by using the platform to call out trolls and also address numerous celebrities on important issues. Responding to Musk's Twitter acquisition, she tweeted, "One good thing about Elon buying twitter is that I will *FINALLY* leave and stop being a complete menace to society on here. So it’s a win-win for you all really." Jamil, in her second tweet, shared cute photos of herself with her pet dog Barold and wrote, "Ah he got twitter. I would like this to be my what lies here as my last tweet. Just really *any* excuse to show pics of Barold. I fear this free speech bid is going to help this hell platform reach its final form of totally lawless hate, bigotry, and misogyny. Best of luck."
