Singing sensation and Indian Idol Season 12 fame Sayli Kamble got hitched to her longtime boyfriend Dhaval on Sunday in a grand traditional Maharashtrian ceremony in Kalyan, near Mumbai. Photos and videos from the festivities have gone viral on social media and show the couple celebrating with their family members and close friends among whom also included her Indian Idol co-contestants Nachiket Lele and Nihal Tauro. A fan page of Sayli has posted visuals from the wedding ceremony on Instagram, with the singer seen in one of them appearing on the mandap with a floral canopy being held by her friends and family members, followed by another video showing them taking part in the garland ceremony (varmala).
Sayli looked more gorgeous than ever in a yellow saree with a fuchsia pink border, which she complemented with a purple shawl, while Dhaval was at his dashing best in an off-white kurta-pajama and also wore a purple shawl along with a matching turban. The couple had gotten engaged last December after Dhaval proposed to Sayli in Bollywood style. Sayli later posted a video of the proposal on Instagram with the caption: "Thank you so much @dhawal261192 for always being there. My love, my friend, my guide, and now my partner for Life.. can’t wait to be yours forever. I love you."
Sayli Kamble, who began her career as a regional singer, had a sensational stint on Indian Idol 12 and is currently serving as a Captain on Superstar Singer Season 2, which is airing on Sony TV. Speaking about the transition from being a singer to a judge on a singing reality show, she told Indian Express, "I have always believed that the journey is more important than the destination. Similarly, my time in Indian Idol 12 has taught me a lot. When I came to the show, I would be nervous before my performance. Today, I am a confident person, and I think the show has transformed all of us into our better versions."
