I welcome lighter roles: Vimala Raman

Vimala Raman caught�viewers’ attention with her beautiful smile and expressive eyes in Raman Thediya Seethai. Now, this beautiful actress is deluged with offers but she is extremely choosy in selecting her next role. Like many Kollywood actresses�today, she is taking care that she does not become stereotyed. Moreover, this beautiful lady loves lighter roles and thinks that a heroine needs to do such roles to “stay in the hearts of her fans forever”. She has already done a light role in�Romeo (Malayalam). It is her longstanding wish to act in a full-length comedy.

Apparently this actor’s wish has reached the ears of AVM, who are offering her a light and frothy�role in their upcoming Telugu film. Though not a full-length comedy, it has its share of lighter moments, family sentiments and “feel good factors”; Vimala will play a jaunty college student with abundant�scope to�demonstrate her sense of humour.

Now, Vimala wants to do a similar role in Tamil too.
