HBO Max has released the final promo for the highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. The upcoming fantasy epic is all set to premiere this Monday on Disney+ Hotstar in India from 6.30 AM onwards. The 55 seconds promo video is titled 'Fire Will Reign'.
it begins with the voice of Viserys Targaryen talking to his daughter, and heir to the throne, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy). He explains that “the road ahead is uncertain, but the end is clear”. This line works in two ways, it lets the audience know there will be troubled times ahead, but it is also a fun quick reference that this is a prequel series so how it all ends is rather clear. The King then proceeds to explain to his daughter that they are well protected from their challengers but war is still coming. From there, the iconic Game of Thrones theme kicks off as we see flashes of the epic battles and ferocious dragons we can expect to see in House of the Dragon.
The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood series, which is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen. Here is the synopsis — Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen, which was the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria, took up residence on Dragonstone. Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.
