Hindi remake for Aarohanam

After the success of her critically acclaimed latest film Aarohanam, actress-turned-filmmaker Lakshmy Ramakrishnan says that she is remaking the movie in Hindi and will soon start working on it.
Giving out more information on the same, she says “The discussions are on for the Bollywood remake of Aarohanam and very soon I will start contemplating on the cast and crew. I plan to make it as a commercial entertainer without losing the core of the plot. I’m hoping to have a popular face, I haven’t zeroed in on the star yet but once finalized will make an official announcement.”
A.V.Anoop, the producer of Aarohanam has expressed his interest to produce the film in Hindi as well. “Yes, we are planning to remake the film in Hindi but at the moment everything in the discussion phase. We are planning to collaborate with a bigger studio to distribute the film on a wider scale.” he said.
Aarohanam is a Tamil drama film starring Viji Chandrasekar, Jayaprakash, Uma Padmanabhan, Rajee Vijaysarathy among others. The story revolves around the search of two children for their mother who suffers from bipolar disorder. Music is composed by K. The film received a lot of positive response with some of the critics calling it the best Tamil film of the year.
Aarohanam is to be screened at the Kolkata film festival scheduled to take place this month.
