Happy weekend ahead for cinema lovers
It is going to be a very happy butshort weekend with six noted films releasing this Friday! And what a vast variety of movies – lighthearted and sentimental films, action bonanzas, comedy, and romantic tales! You have a wide choice to choose from!
The long-awaited Silambattam starring Simbu, Sneha andnewcomer Sana Khan looks a promising entertainer, especially for its songs, action sequences and “Simbuisms”! It has quite a lot of highlights, including the remix song ‘Vachikava’ and the “light-bulb” fitted suit that Simbu dons.
Radha Mohan who gave usMozhi, returns with Abhiyum Naanum, a simple and loving tale about a father and his daughter. Its beautiful theme and story compelled our busy CM Karunanidhi and his daughter Kanimozhi (MP) to find time for its audio launch. Prakashraj and Trisha have excelled in their roles, which makesthe filmeven more interesting.
Fans of Pooja Gandhi will bereal happy to see her back in action in the Arjun starrerThiruvannamalai. Directed by Perarasu, king of commercial films, this film will enthrall the action movie buffs.
Then we have Dindigul Sarathy, the much-awaited lighthearted film which stars Karunas and Nam Nadu Karthika in the lead. A remake of the Malayalam super hit Vadakku Nokki Yenthram, its plot is about a plain-looking man with a massive inferiority complex married to a beautiful girl and hispathetic self-doubts. Though you laugh at his antics, your heart goes out to him for the love he has for his wife.
Kamalini Mukherjee returns with Raj Television Network’s Kadhalna Summa Illa. It stars Ravi Krishna in the lead and gives a new actor, Sharwanand, to Kollywood. The film is a remake of Tollywood super hit Gamyam, which was in turn inspired by The Motorcycle Diaries, a film based on Che Guevara’s account of his motorcycle ride across South America.
Then there is the complete comedy Paramapadham, which will tickle your funnybone till you drop!
So, you have great entertainment waiting for you this weekend and better book your tickets in advance. Have fun!
